Welcome to my site!
I’ll be blogging about modern Chinese visual culture from 1700 through today from the perspective of a researcher and a teacher. Topics will include Chinese art during the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Sino-European artistic exchange, the Forbidden City and Beijing, contemporary Chinese art, teaching East Asian art history, using technology and social media in the classroom, and the relationship between the Chinese art market and art history.
